St Pete's Beach Drive

Forget Ocean Drive in Miami, and Bayshore Boulevard may get a lot of attention with its world record length of continuous sidewalk. It’s not the only waterfront road in Florida or the Tampa Bay area worth visiting, and it might not even be the most enjoyable or entertaining.

St. Petersburg’s own Beach Drive stretches over a mile along the waterfronts of downtown St Pete. This magnificent waterfront includes a variety of huge parks like Straub Park, Northshore Park, and Vinoy Park. You’ll also see various other landmarks along the water, including the Albert Whitted Airport and various marinas.

Beyond that, this stretch of pedestrian friendly drive boasts numerous restaurants, a thriving nightlife, and an amazing and welcoming vibe. The music is blasting from various club and restaurants, each boasting their own unique blend of aromas and sound. So, forget Tampa and their bland Boulevard, and get yourself on the Drive in St Pete!

ST PETE TIPS

#1

Stay local and small. The best spots are where the locals dine and play.

#2

Avoid chains like Subway, McD, and Wendy's. Luckily they aren't prevelant downtown.

#3

Go to a beach. They are amazing!
